Programs Focused on Systems Change
Our programs center on five areas in which the lives of people and animals acutely intersect: food, fiber, knowledge, community, and service. All of our programs emphasize a systems-based approach, which provides an opportunity to raise awareness about the links between human and animal rights, health, and wellbeing, and to better understand and replace underlying frameworks that currently fuel unjust practices across various industries.
Throughout all of our programs, we work to influence norms and values, legal and policy priorities, economic approaches, political determinants of health, models of practice, and educational and training pathways. We maintain a rights-based vision, with attention to the most historically vulnerable populations.
